We were at St. John's Church at Creighton on the 14th with Drew Neneman and again on the 23rd with the Skutt High School Choir under the direction of Chris Storm. There was some unbelievably beautiful singing happening and we were so fortunate to be a part of it! Then there was the Masquerade Ball fundraiser at the Joslyn Castle on the 28th - what fun it was to play this event! We had a wonderful time sharing our collection of costume-worthy music including themes from Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones! 

Today we had the honor of returning to St. Paul United Methodist Church to play for Jerry Brabec's talent choir. It was a very touching service honoring our passed loved ones.  David Neely talents really shone today as we performed the "Adagio" by Albinoni, the "Intermezzo" by Mascani, and the "Meditation" from Thais! 

We have many more opportunities coming up, but there are still dates available in December that we hope to be able to enjoy more wonderful music making!

Prelude music was Hedwig’s Theme, Harry’s Wondrous World, Theme from Legend of Zelda. The family was seated to Concerning Hobbits from Lord of the Ring and the wedding party entered to the Theme from Game of Thrones. Entering to the “Inner Light” from Star Trek the Next Generation was the bride. As we watched the ceremony progress, we noticed that the groomsmen all had Star Fleet insignias holding their flowers onto their lapels! Fabulous touch! The Unity Candle was lit to another Harry Potter tune-Hogwart’s Hymn.  Exit music for this amazing wedding was the main theme from Star Trek the Next Generation, the opening strands of which were played very softly as the officiant gave the final benediction and just as the bride and groom turned to exit the main march began!  Star War’s “Imperial March” and the music from the “Throne Room” was performed as the guests exited the Glass Chapel in Shelby. The quartet had a wonderful time and the bride and groom were married to the best geek music around!

]]><![CDATA[Christie & Brian's Wedding at Castle Unicorn 6/28/14]]>Tue, 01 Jul 2014 05:52:34 GMThttp://www.novasq.com/blog/christie-brians-wedding-at-castle-unicorn-62814The weather threatened to be rainy and unpleasant that morning, and as the day progressed there was little improvement.  Suddenly, a mere 30 minutes before the wedding ceremony was to begin, the sun broke out, the clouds cleared and the weather was spectacular!  We all were worried, but the heavens shone through the clouds and it was a beautiful wedding at Castle Unicorn in Pacific Junction, IA this last Saturday!  A BIG thank you to the couple and their families for having us be a part of your glorious day!

]]><![CDATA[A Beautiful Wedding Today]]>Sat, 22 Mar 2014 22:02:41 GMThttp://www.novasq.com/blog/a-beautiful-wedding-todayToday we played a lovely wedding at the quaint St. Augustine Church in west Omaha/Elkhorn.  Barbara and Asif chose lovely, traditional music for their ceremony.  The priests and families were so generous in their compliments after the ceremony.  We weren't done, though!  We popped over to Shadow Ridge Country Club to play for hor d'oeuvres and dinner.  Barbara and Asif chose a mix of Beatles, movie and cover tunes for this part of their day!  Thanks to this lovely couple for having us perform for their ceremony and reception!
